Twist-it Pastel

Be surprised by the magic of Twist-it. With a quick twist, you can magically transform from a colorful “tree” to a “lollipop”, and vice versa, into an almost hypnotic movement and sound that you can not stop repeating.

Place the shaft upright between the palms of your hands, so that it is at the height of the base of the thumb of one of the hands and the other at the height of the second phalanx of the fingers. Now, slide the hand holding the shaft in the finger area forward in a single movement, until the Twist-it stops. Repeat the backward movement and wait again for it to stop. Experiment making the movement at different speeds and watch magic unfold.

The design of the Twist-it structure is derived from the forms that nature creates (e.g., in the internal layout of plants) and uses mathematical concepts such as Fibonacci numbers and golden ratio.
