When we Canada geese from Ostheimer settle down to rest or breed after a long flight, we enjoy taking a dip in a beautiful lake. I then look for a sheltered place in the reeds where we can raise our little ones.

Since children mostly encounter geese on a farm or in picture books, the white geese and the goose shephardess have long been part of our collection. But inspired by book The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, Stephan Zech created the Ostheimer Canada geese, which are a tribute to the wild, free migratory birds.
